Lasley & Russ Violins

2405 NW Market Street, Suite 201, Seattle, WA 98107
(206) 378-0233  •  shop@lasley-russ.com

Lasley & Russ Violins provides friendly, expert service with a personal touch. As with people, each violin is unique. Fittings, strings, bows, and set-up can all alter the sound and playability of an instrument. When purchasing an instrument, the player needs to find one that meets his or her needs for sound, style, ease of playing, and budget. For these and other reasons, we discourage impulse buys, and we don't do internet sales. We'd like to meet you, discuss your needs for an instrument, and help you take the time to make the best purchase you can, within your budget.

Duane Lasley attended The Violin Making School of America in Salt Lake City, Utah. He then apprenticed with Michael Scoggins in Salt Lake City. After arriving in Seattle in 1998, Duane worked for David T. Stone Violins, and then established the violin department at Dusty Strings.

Chris Russ is a graduate of UC Berkeley and California State University at Fresno. After teaching in both public and private schools for ten years, she left the profession to pursue other goals. She met Duane while working at David T. Stone Violins, and later apprenticed with him to learn repairs.
